The Valier Panthers improved to 3-1 overall and 2-0 in conference with a 61-7 win over the Great Falls Central Catholic Mustangs under the lights at Memorial Stadium on Saturday night in Great Falls.
The Panthers got on the board first with a fumble return for a touchdown by Wes Edwards. From there, the Panthers defense and rushing attack took over.
Edwards ran for 229 yards on nine carries and three additional touchdowns, all in the first half, to lead the Valier attack. a
The Panthers have their first home game of the season and will celebrate homecoming Friday night, when they’ll take on the Sunburst Refiners in a conference clash at 7 p.m.
There will be a homecoming tailgate starting at 5 p.m. Friday before the varsity football game. Hamburgers and other items will be available on the east side of the football field at 821 Fifth St.
