Valier senior Brett Monroe takes his opponent to the mat at last season's Cut Bank Invitational.

The Valier Panthers will kick off the 2019-20 wrestling season in Cascade this weekend. The Panthers return a pair of grapplers with State Tournament experience from last season’s third place squad.

Senior Brett Monroe returns looking to improve on his individual third place finish at State a season ago and sophomore Ty Curry will look to build on a stellar freshman campaign that saw him earn a State Tournament berth.

Also returning this season is senior Kasen Kovatch while freshmen Joe Ramos and Tyler VandenBos join the Panther squad.

Clayton Gernaat returns as this year’s head coach with Ryan Rauscher volunteering his assistance with the program.
