Brody Connelly scored the Panthers’ lone touchdown in last weekend’s loss to Stanford/Geyser/Denton. The Panthers are looking for revenge this weekend and the chance to advance to the post-season playoffs.

The parents of the Valier Panthers football team are sponsoring a pre-game, free will donation tailgate feed at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 by the concession stand on the football field. They will be providing a menu of burgers, baked beans, chips and beverages. They invite the community to get decked out in purple and come out to cheer on the Panthers, who are vying for a playoff spot.

If the Panthers defeat Highwood/Geraldine in the 7 p.m. game this Friday they will be heading either to Bridger or Clyde Park (Shields Valley High School) next week in the first round of the playoffs. The Panthers recently defeated Bridger in a 28-26 thriller.

In last weekend’s action, the Panthers faltered against Stanford/Geyser/Denton, 45-6. According to Coach Jeremy Curry, the Panthers lone score was by Brody Connelly.

Proceeds from the tailgate party will be donated to the Valier Schools athletic fund. The Booster Club will also be selling Panther blankets at the game.
