The Dupuyer annual Grizzly Day Celebration is slated for Saturday, Aug. 3 and as usual, a full day of fun and activities for the whole family is planned.
The day will kick off with a pancake breakfast from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Firemen’s Hall followed by the annual parade at 11 a.m. The ever-popular Dupuyer Creek Duck Race will get underway at 3 p.m. Music and entertainment is also planned and geared to entertain the whole family.
Line up for the parade will be at 10:30 a.m. on Columbus Avenue. Units with loud horns or sirens will be at the forefront while horses, mules and other animals will be at the end of the lineup.
“We are hoping to have many antique tractors, older and modern tractors as well as antique, unique and classic cars, old machinery, floats and riding units,” said parade organizer Ali Newkirk. “We are encouraging everyone to join in the fun,” she added.
Floats will not be judged but each unit can enter their name in a drawing to be held for three cash prizes at the conclusion of the parade.
