“There is nothing better than a friend, unless it is a friend with chocolate.”

Linda Grayson

Chocolate. One word with so many meanings: allure, sweet, bitter, feel good, comfort and for some even, love. Chocolate is an ancient food that has survived the test of time undergoing changes from a bitter drink to a sweet treat most people are familiar with whether it’s a bar, bon-bons or a bunny.

Let’s explore chocolate on Thursday, Feb. 13, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. The class will cover the types of chocolate used in cooking, baking and percentages in candy. We will learn about the history of chocolate, how it is processed, potential health benefits, and there will be samples of sweet and savory dishes made with chocolate.

Pre-registration is required and there is a small fee for the class. Sign up at the Pondera County Extension office in the Courthouse.
