Valier Food Pantry opening on May 6

First Baptist Church of Valier has partnered with the Montana Food Bank Network and Montana Southern Baptist Convention to start a small local food pantry to help meet the hunger need in our region. The program has started receiving donations and will be open to the public on the first and third Monday of every month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church, which is located at 725 Montana Street.

Valier Food Pantry is open to anyone. Adults 18 and older may pick up food. Delivery will be made available to home bound people in need. Food emergency requests can be made by calling (406) 289-0721 or by message at (406) 279-3211.

Donations will gladly be received for processing and distribution as arrangements are made in advance or when the facility is open for any other regular ministry times. Individuals interested in volunteering are welcome.

Pastor Steve Culver said, “Our mission is to meet a portion of this basic need in the community and surrounding area. That’s what the Lord has called His church to do. We simply answered that call. It’s just that simple.”
