The determination on the face of John Juras shows why the Juras Bunch of Great Falls won the three-person co-ed division of the Triple P Triathlon last Saturday in Valier. He was the top cyclist in the division with a time of 36.07.5. The team’s combined winning time was 1:35:55.79.

The 1st Annual Lake Frances Triple P Triathlon, sponsored by the Valier Area Development Corporation, is in the books! Despite ominous skies prior to the first starting gun, 45 individual athletes and eight teams began and completed the 16.5-mile course in and around Lake Frances, near Valier.

Participants from New Mexico, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, and western Montana, ranging in age from 12 to 71 years old, competed in last weekend’s event.
