The Town of Valier approved its FY 2019-20 preliminary budget on July 8 and has scheduled a final budget hearing on Monday, Aug. 12, at 7 p.m. in the Civic Center. According to Town of Valier officials, local taxpayers will not see an increase in the Town of Valier portion of their taxes. The total of expenditures anticipated to operate the town for this fiscal year total $914,472.00.

The proposed budget includes a cost of living raise for Town employees as well as a three percent increase in the law enforcement contract with Pondera County. 

Town officials said the FY 2019-20 budget includes no major changes in expenses or revenue. 

Local residents may comment on the proposed budget in person at the hearing or in writing. Written comments should be submitted to the Town of Valier Office, located at 514 Montana Street; mailed to P.O.
