The National Rifle Association (NRA) Founda-tion has awarded the Valier Trap and Rifle Club a grant totaling $1,060.40 to fund right hand coats, targets, muffs, bipods, aperture insert sets, and shells. “We are very pleased the NRA is continuing in making an investment in our community,” stated Robert Widhalm.
The NRA Foundation was established in 1990 and is a tax-exempt organization that raises tax-deductible contributions to support a wide range of firearm-related activities. These activities are designed to promote firearm and hunting safety, to enhance marksmanship skills and to educate the general public about firearms.
The Friends of the NRA is a fund-raising program that fosters community involvement to organize and plan community events for firearms enthusiasts. All net proceeds from the Friends of the NRA events are allocated to the NRA Foundation.
Through the NRA Foun-dation, grants for equipment, training materials, range improvements, and more, qualified local, state, and national programs receive aid to involve and inspire a new generation of competitive shooters.
