Valier’s Jazmyn Ramos squares off with Savannah Riggin of CJI Friday at the Cut Bank Booster Invitational.

Hannah Monroe went 2-0 to claim the first championship at 170 for the girls Cut Bank Booster Invitational wrestling tournament last weekend. Monroe needed lees than a minute on the mat to pin her two opponents. Teammate Jazmyn Ramos went 1-3 to place third on the weekend.

Monroe pinned Shawna Osburn of CJI in just 30 seconds and needed even less time, 22 seconds, to pin Abby Zickefoose of Choteau.

Ramos dropped her first three matches as she was pinned by Savannah Riggin of CJI, Shay Hauer of Chinook and Brooklyn Nelson of Havre before sticking Salome Legast of Fergus in 1:40 to place third.

The Lady Panther grapplers are back in action this weekend as they travel to the Fairfield Mixer on Thursday and the Choteau Classic this weekend.
