The Shelby High School Gymnasium will be rocking this weekend as the Northern B Divisional Boys Basketball Tournament comes to town. Action will kick off on Thursday as eight teams will be vying for three spots at next weekend’s State B Tournament in Belgrade. 

District 1B Champion Rocky Boy will open the tournament against Malta, who finished fourth in the 2B, at 1 p.m. Choteau, the third place finisher in the 1B, will take on 2B runner-up  Wolf Point at 2:30 p.m. 

The evening session will open with District 2B Champion Poplar taking on Shelby, the fourth place finisher in the 1B, at 6:30. The final opening round matchup pits 1B runner-up Fairfield against Glasgow, who finished third in the 2B. 

Friday will follow the same schedule, with loser out contests played in the afternoon and the semifinals in the evening. Saturday morning will feature two loser-out games while Saturday’s consolation game is slated for 6:30 followed by the championship at 8 p.m. 

Adult All-Session passes are $22 while student and senior citizen All-Session passes are $17. Single session passes are $7 and $5.
