The Sunburst Refiners boys basketball team began practice Thursday, Nov. 17 and had seven boys turnout. There are three seniors: John Buckley, Conlan Kerfoot and Connor Sullivan; two juniors, Ian Benjamin and Carter Enneberg; sophomore Virgil Manthey; and freshman Michael Miller.

Coach Nate Aschim returns at the helm for the Refiners. He will be assisted by Logan Simmes and Jackson Nagy.

“We are returning three starters with our three seniors,” Coach Aschim said. “We are fortunate to bring back all returning letter winners with the exception of our one freshman Michael Miller. We are hoping to bring some eighth-graders into the fold once their season concludes. ... We have high hopes this year and hope to make some noise.”

The Refiners’ first game will be Dec. 9-10 at the Dutton/Brady Invite. The Refiners will play Big Sandy and Dutton Brady.
