Sunburst freshman McKayla Jean-Baptiste sprints on the inside lane during the 100 meter dash Thursday in Cut Bank.

The Sunburst Refiners competed at the Pre-Easter Invite last week in Cut Bank and four of the five competitors picked up personal records at the meet. 

The boys team was led by Jaden Koon who placed fourth in the discus with a toss of 108-09.25 and sixth in the 3200 with a time of 11:57.29. Koon set personal records in both events as well as a personal record in the 1600 with a time of 5:19. 

Tobias Alvarez set personal records in all four of his events, the 100 (13.85), 200 (30.7), 1600 (6:19.2) and shot put (27-03). Dylan Postma also competed and recorded a toss of 30-08 in the shot put. 

McKayla Jean-Baptiste set personal records in both the 100 (15.1) and 200 (34.85). Makenzie Wilson set personal records in the 100 (15.94) and discus (69-06.25) as well as a season record in the long jump with a leap of 11-09. 

The Refiners will be in Great Falls at Memorial Stadium this weekend for the second Fairfield/Belt Invitational.
