Shelby senior Lucas Fretheim, and junior Teagan Tustian head down the hill around the seventh green at Cut Bank Golf and Country Club Friday during the Mike Reynolds Time Trials.

The Shelby senior/junior high school cross country teams traveled to Cut Bank and participated in the Mike Reynolds Time Trials. The weather was perfect for running.

Leading the Coyotes to the finish line in the high school boys race was Lucas Fretheim, with a time of 20:43.75, placing 112th. Teagan Tustian ran the 3.1 miles in 20:43.98, placing 113th. Kolten Henke crossed the finish line in 25:26, placing 172nd. Placing 186th with a time of 30:20 was Brenden Hagood. There were a total of 189 runners in the race. Michael Sanchez did not run.

The only Coyote in the high school girls race was Allyson Bleecker, who ran the course in 27:58, placing 109th. There were a total of 128 runners in the race. Jahna Welker and Randilee Myo did not run.

Ivan Wickum finished the middle school boys race in 46th place with a time of 11:41. There were a total of 87 runners.

This Saturday, Sept. 14, the cross country team will travel to Kalispell to run in the Flathead Invitational at the Rebecca Farm. Race times are: 9:30 a.m. JV girls; 10:15 a.m. JV boys; 11 a.m. varsity girls; 11:45 varsity boys; 12:30 p.m. middle school girls; and 1 p.m. middle school boys. Take a drive and cheer on the Coyotes to the finish line.
