The Sunburst Refiners hit the track at the Choteau Acantha Invitational last weekend and although only four Refiner boys competed, all four put up personal records in at least one event.

Renny Turner set a personal record in the shot put with a toss of 35-07.5 and also had a season-best throw of 98-01 in the discus.

Cole Johnson set personal records in both the shot put (35-0.5) and the discus (67-07), while setting a season record with a toss of 74-11 in the javelin.

Brad Sydor achieved a personal record with a leap of 14-10.5 in the long jump and also had a season best throw of 88-06 in the javelin.

Zak Jarvis rounded out the Refiner athletes in Choteau and set two personal records with his 14-08.5 leap in the long jump and his effort of 79-04 in the javelin.

The Refiners are back on the track next weekend as they travel to the Fairfield/Belt Invitational on Saturday, held at Memorial Stadium in Great Falls.
