It’s tourney time! The Toole County Health Foundation’s Annual Golf Tournament fundraiser, Saturday, Aug. 10, is gearing up to be another good one this year! With 20 teams and counting, we will be filling up the new clubhouse at Marias Valley Golf and Country Club. Doubling up pairs will make this event livelier as co-workers, community members, and out-of-towners will have the opportunity to make new acquaintances and spend the day with friends.
It will be an early morning with a 7:30 a.m. registration and 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Pre-registration is encouraged, though same day registration is welcome, providing we do not reach the maximum of 36 teams. We will have donuts in the morning with a taco bar following the end of the tournament! Drinks will keep everyone cool, as regular rounds of the drink cart will make their way throughout the course of the day.
Toole County Health Foundation gifts will be given at the start of the day, and you may want the free sunscreen! If you follow Toole County Health Foundation on Facebook, you don’t need us to tell you that there are some great prizes! Door prizes and hole prizes will be awarded, but the real draw is the raffle. For a $20 raffle ticket you will have the chance to win one of 10 items and every ticket will be put back in the pot for a final grand prize of $500 cash (sponsored by UMIA)! All the proceeds from this event will go towards community healthcare needs.
It’s $100 per player, $75 if you’re already a member at Marias Valley Golf Course, make up a team of four friends and you’ll be sure to enjoy this easy scramble style tournament. The cost includes a cart, meal, prizes, gifts and green fees. There’s still time to sponsor, register, give a gift and participate in some way! A huge shout out to our event sponsors: Core Civic, UMIA w/ Constellation, Centron Services Inc., and Northwest Imaging!
