With sub-zero temperatures, snow and more to come, July seems like forever away. In reality it is only six short months, just enough time to start planning the Shelby High School All-Class Reunion! The planning has begun and so far the weekend of July 10-12 is looking to be a great time for all, regardless of what decade you graduated. Lorette Carter has been busy, with the help of a few others, putting together a tentative schedule of events and getting the news out to all SHS alumni.
Getting the word out in plenty of time so everyone can attend is an important factor and Carter urges everyone to spread the word to Coyote alumni far and wide.
“I am sending the information out to all the people I have on my reunion email list from the 2015 reunion,” said Carter. “I may have some incorrect as it was hard to read many of the addresses, but it’s a great start. And getting it in the Promoter gets the word out as I’m sure many out of town alumni follow the Promoter via Facebook as well.”
The upcoming reunion will feature a golf scramble, bowling, a car show, a tour of the high school, a museum open house, a street dance and other opportunities to visit and reconnect with those you grew up with.
The date has been set and the details of the different events are well underway. Anyone wanting information on what is being planned, lodging that is available and other specifics are encouraged to visit and follow the Shelby All School Reunion Facebook page.
