The graduation ceremony for Shelby High School seniors will take place on Sunday, May 24, starting at 3 p.m. on the football field. Since we are still in Phase I of the reopening of Montana, there are some safeguards for this year’s event.

All graduates received one pod with a maximum of 10 tickets to give to guests. Keep in mind that each pod area will be randomly selected and a designated entry point and time will be associated with each. All pod members must arrive at the assigned time, if an entire pod or individual pod is late they will not be admitted onto the field. All pods will be escorted to their assigned seating area by a staff member.

No out-of-state attendees will be admitted into the facility if they have not completed the State required 14 days of self-quarantine.

Non-medical face coverings are not required, but are strongly encouraged while in public, especially in circumstances that do not readily allow for appropriate physical distancing.

The school district recommends that anyone with a chronic medical condition avoid attending the ceremony as it will be streamed online and can be viewed there.

Law enforcement will be present at the event and any individual that chooses to disregard the conditions of attendance will be removed from the field.

Although very different from previous commencement ceremonies, the Shelby School District is looking forward to recognizing the class of 2020 at their graduation ceremony and encourages everyone to help ensure the success of the event by following the safeguards put in place.
