At Marias Medical Center (MMC) we know that there is fear, frustration and wariness amongst members of our community. The Novel Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) has been the main topic of conversation for a few months across the world and it has come with a lot of changes for all of us that have impacted our lives in many ways. Information continues to evolve on the virus and everyone, even here locally in the Golden Triangle, continue to adjust to a new normal in their lives.
We understand that it has been a difficult time and it continues to feel overwhelming to many on how to adjust to this new normal way of life. We want to reassure you that MMC is here to care for you and your family and are still your trusted healthcare provider as we navigate and progress forward. MMC continues to monitor, have processes in place and be prepared to care for our community in case of another surge of COVID-19 cases. Our services have resumed and every necessary precaution is in place so we can safely take care of all of your healthcare needs.
We continue to need your assistance to prevent another cycle of COVID-19 in our community. We strongly recommend that citizens continue to strictly adhere to guidelines put in place by federal, state and local public health authorities. Additional ways that everyone can help protect themselves, their families and friends, and vulnerable populations is by following masking protocols, practicing in social distancing, frequent hand hygiene and staying home when sick, as well as seeking care when it is appropriate.
It takes everyone being socially responsible to help prevent another surge of COVID-19 in Toole County. Together we will get through this.
