The June Primary uncanvassed results are in. The only contested race in Toole County was for the commissioner seat currently held by Joe Pehan. Challenger Terry Tomsheck defeated Pehan, 687-558. Tomsheck received 53.34 percent of the votes to Pehan’s 43.32 percent.
The Clerk of District Court was the other position up for election this year and incumbent Debra Munson ran uncontested, receiving 1,215 votes. Out of 2,494 registered voters 1,595 voted, 63.92 percent.
In Toole County, U.S. Senator Steve Bullock garnered 282 votes to beat out Democratic candidates Mike Knoles and John Mues. Republican Steve Daines received 1,123 votes over candidates John Brian Driscoll, 61, and Daniel R. Larson, 66.
United State Representative Kathleen Williams, Democrat, received 87 percent of the voters approval over candidate Tom Winter and Republican Matt Rosendale came away with 49 percent of the votes over Corey Stapleton’s 29 percent and Joe Dooling’s 12 percent.
Toole County voted in favor of Greg Gianforte and Kristen Juras, Republican, with 637 votes over the Democratic choice of Mike Cooney and Casey Schriener, 195.
In the Secretary of State race Republican Brad Johnson received 288 votes while Democrat Bryce Bennett received 259.
