TCHF Tourney had a record-breaking year! With 29 teams, we were able to almost double the number of teams from over the past few years.
“We are so grateful to Marias Valley Golf and Country Club for hosting us and having a delicious dinner to finish up the tournament,” said Toole County Health Foundation director Erin Wanken. “The Tournament Board helped with many of the details. Brice and Diana Kluth graciously gave their Saturday to help. Linda Lee, Shane and Lisa Clark, Robyn Kimmet, and Peggy Taylor all gave their time throughout the day.”
The morning was cold and rainy, but golfers warmed up in the clubhouse and kept cheerful until the weather cleared up later in the day.
The golfers were split into four flights, based on handicap, and the overall first place team was the Martin family, sponsored by KSEN. Some of the teams came from Great Falls, Lethbridge and one individual flew up from North Carolina!
“We had teams locally from Conrad, Havre, Cut Bank and Shelby,” said Wanken. “Many people went home with one prize from either the door prizes, hole prizes or raffle prizes. This was possible because of the generous businesses throughout Montana.”
The grand $500 raffle prize, sponsored by UMIA with Constellation, went to one lucky Cindy Combs! Coca-Cola kept everyone hydrated by donating several cases of new flavors, and the cooler went to Ron Campbell as one of the “Longest Drive” hole prizes. Other winners throughout the day were Closest to the Pin, “Slambo;” Closest to the Bedpan, Crystal Rattler; Closest to the Water, Cindy Howg; Long Drive Men, Bridger Martin; Long Drive Men, Ron Campbell; Long Drive Women, Ashton Daniels; Long Drive Women, Amber Phillipps; Long Putt, Ed Skeslien; Long Putt, Zach Hayes
“We are very grateful to all those who came out to play, to the many businesses that sponsored, and to our volunteers that helped throughout the day,” said Wanken. “We are looking forward to see you all again next year!”
