The Shelby Coyotes Track Team had a successful district tournament, the boys placed third, and the girls placed fifth, with several achieving PRs in their events.

      Coach Brennan Hayes stated, “First off, I would like to thank all of the volunteers we had help out today at the district track meet, your help was greatly appreciated. I am extremely proud of what our athletes went out and did today. Almost all of them had a PR in at least one of their events today. That is what we look for when it comes to this point of the year and you guys did an amazing job. The boys took 3rd place just 13 points away from 1st. Our girls placed 5th and all five of them will be moving on to the divisional meet.”

    The following athletes will move on to the divisional track meet next week.
