Shelby Volunteer Fire Department Chief Ben Widhalm also presented a plaque to this year’s Rookie of the Year Fireman, Dalton Howell, during the Christmas festivities at the fire hall.

Shelby volunteer fireman Dan Schwenke was recognized during Saturday evening’s Christmas party with this plaque in honor of 30 years of dedication to the department.
