The opportunity to purchase some awesome Christmas gifts while helping out some great community members is coming up! On Tuesday evening, Nov. 30, a spaghetti dinner and silent auction benefiting DJ and Brenda Alexander will take place at Clark’s Family Restaurant from 5-7 p.m.

The auction items will also be posted online where folks who might not be able to make the dinner, but want to show their support for the Alexander family, can participate.

Items for the auction have been steadily rolling in and include tools, homemade blankets and quilts, a Montana Martin knife, gift baskets full of goodies and more.

Today, Nov. 17, is the last day for anyone wishing to donate auction items to do so. If you have something you would like to have included contact Jen Marsicano via Facebook messenger or at (406) 450-3178. Gift certificates for services, gift baskets, pretty much anything one would like to donate is welcomed and appreciated.

If you don’t have an item to auction off and are unable to attend the benefit, monetary donations can be dropped off or mailed to Bear Paw Credit Union, P.O. Box 906, Shelby, MT 59474. Just note that it is a donation for deposit in the Alexander benefit account.

Brenda and DJ truly appreciate all that has been donated and done for them so far. Auction items and monetary donations have been trickling in, reassuring the family that they are not in this entirely on their own.

DJ has been diagnosed with acute liver failure and has been unable to work the past couple of months. His return to work is nowhere in the near future as a liver transplant is what is needed for him to return to a “normal” life.
