Marias Healthcare Ser-vices Inc. is excited to welcome a new Family Nurse Practitioner to the facility, Rachael Lehr, MSN, FNP-C. Lehr will be seeing patients in Shelby Tuesday through Friday and will be available in Conrad on Mondays. Lehr has a strong background in caring not only for adult patients, but pediatric patients as well.

“I believe every patient deserves the best,” said Lehr. “When I’m caring for patients, I don’t only want to know what brings them in, I want to know more about them and their day-to-day life.”

Lehr grew up in Nebraska and has had a passion for healthcare since she was a young child. Having witnessed many friends and family members receiving services from hospitals and clinics, Lehr has admired health care professionals and wanted to serve people in that capacity.

“I’ve always idolized other healthcare providers and strived to be just like them, making an impact on not only the patient, but also the family members,” said Lehr.

Lehr received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Midland University, Nebraska, in May of 2017 and graduated with a Master of Science in Nursing-Family Nurse Practitioner from Morningside College, Iowa, in 2020. Since then, she has gained vast experience from working at the Fremont Health Medical Center as a patient care assistant, as a Pediatric Staff Nurse and as the Pediatric Lead Registered Nurse at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha. In November of 2020 she went to work as a staff nurse in the float pool at Kalispell Regional Health and most recently worked as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse at the Montana Laser and Medical Center.
