Tom Allen passed away Jan. 9, 2020 from complications of spending so many years in a wheel chair. He has requested no ceremony or fuss be made over his passing. His ashes will be scattered on the farm where he loved to drive his Jeep, over looking Dupuyer, Creek.
Tom was born to John and Evelyn Allen, Sept. 29, 1952 in Conrad, Mont. He grew up working on the farm at Valier, Mont.
Growing up, Tom had a Jeep he dearly loved. He was fearless when it came to climbing hills, or sliding that Jeep sideways. Tom worked for a few years with the custom cutters, following the crops from Texas to Montana and back again. He also worked in the oil fields and driving truck, hauling hogs from Montana to Seattle. His trucking stories about hauling hogs could keep you laughing for days.
Tom was in an automobile accident in 1983 and lost the use of his legs when he was about 30. He spent the rest of his life in a wheel chair, living in his home in Billings, Mont.
Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, Tom and Lil Howe of Dupuyer, Mont., and Sam and Anna Allen of Charlo, Mont.
He is survived by his parents, John and Evelyn Allen, Charlo; and sisters, Donna Ridgway of Vaughn, Mont. and Sheila Orth of Billings.
Thank you to Leigh Ann Corcoran, his cousin, and Dennis Ehresman, his good friend, for watching over Tom and helping him with medical and physical issues over the years.
