Irene J. Old Chief “Kind Woman” 81, passed away at Browning Hospital on
Sept. 2, 2020.
Services were held at Four Winds Assembly Of God in Browning, Mont. on Sept. 8, 2020.
Irene was born July 16, 1939 in Black Tail to
Francis Wall and Annie Wall. She was raised in Browning and went to school there.
She was married to Grayson Old Chief. Minister worked for the Lord, Irene and her husband traveled throughout the United States and Canada. Irene was self-employed as a crafter, she
beaded, made dolls and was a homemaker. Irene enjoyed beading and going
to second hand stores. She also loved family outings with her grandchildren and children including picnics, birthday parties, and
holidays such as Christmas.
Irene preceded in death by her husband Grayson; son Jay Old Chief; parents Francis Wall and Annie Wall; two granddaughters; brothers
Gilbert Wall and Thomas Wall; and sister Teresa Wall.
She is survived by William Bill (Muriel Old Chief); Gayle; daughters Patricia (Shawn Hermon), Rosemary (David Cree Medicine); grandson that’s raised as a son Billy Old Chief; brother Francis Wall; sister Angie Wall; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren.
