Alexandrea Rose Dragonfly-DuBray passed away April 29, 2020, in Kalispell, Mont. Services were held Wednesday, May 6, at the Little Flower Parish in Browning, Mont.

She was born in Browning on Feb. 8, 1988, to Dianne Dragonfly and Robert Dale DuBray. Alex was raised in Browning, Starr School and Cut Bank Creek on the Gerald “Son” Meineke Ranch. Son became her dad when she was two years old, and he remained a constant father figure in her life until his passing in 2011.

Alex loved to ride horseback, and she was Son’s right hand cowboy.

Alex is survived by her children Kierra Gobert, Koix Gobert and Lillie Dragonfly; her parents Dianne DragonFly of Browning and Robert Dale DuBray of East Glacier; special friend Tracy Schildt; sisters Megan Meineke, Destiny DuBray, Heidi DuBray and Mike Burns; brothers Dallas and  Jen DuBray, Rocky DuBray, Brandon and Jordan Morris, Dylan Pepion and Jared; maternal aunt Karen DragonFly; paternal aunt Susan (Joel) Fenner; maternal uncles David (Lavina) DragonFly and Bruce DragonFly; paternal uncles John (Sheila) LaPlant and Karl Guardipee; spiritual sisters Rosie Meineke, Sasha LaMere, Shayla WhiteGrass, Zowie WhiteGrass, Amanda Kennerly, Robin Kurik and Tara Tatsey; and spiritual brother Robert Ahenekew.

Alex is preceded in death by Gerald “Son” Meineke who raised her and was her father in every sense of the word, her maternal grandparents John and Dorothy DragonFly, paternal grandparents Donald “Doodles” DuBray and Henrieta LaPlant, Aunt Kami Guardipee, Uncle Donnie DuBray, stepfather Rick Trottier, and step-brothers Kenny and Kyle Trottier.

Alex was loved by so many. Her kindness, love and joy will be deeply missed. The world lost a beautiful soul, and our Lord’s glorious kingdom has gained an Angel.
