Jacob D. Waldner, 90, of Zenith Colony, passed peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2020 of natural causes.
Jacob was born at Elmspring Colony, Alberta on June 17, 1930 to David and Susie Waldner. He then moved from Alberta to Glacier Colony in Cut Bank in 1951. In August of 2011 he moved to Zenith Colony.
Jacob was faithfully married to the love of his life, Rebecca (Wurz) Waldner for 67 years. From that union they had nine children, David (Frieda), Peter, Judy, Linda, Andrew (Gloria) all from Zenith Colony, Justina (Jacob) Waldner of Cool Spring Colony, Elizabeth (Walter) Entz of Crystal Spring Colony, and Jacob (Hilda) from Glacier Colony.
Jacob was the colony German schoolteacher for 27 years. After retirement he worked around the farm.
Jacob was a loving husband and father to his wife and children. He is survived by 23 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Jacob is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Rebecca; and two grandchildren.
He will be greatly missed by all his family members. Rest in peace, father, in the arms of our beloved heavenly Father and Savior, Jesus Christ.
