Memori Dawn Salois Walter was born on June 18, 1960 in Huntington Park, Calif., to Gary Salois and Deva Sloan Salois Trebas. Memori journeyed home peacefully in her sleep to join her loved ones in Heaven on Jan. 19, 2021 at the young age of 60.
Memori was the firstborn of nine siblings. She was raised in Browning, Mont., where she met the love of her life, Ronnie Walter. They were married on July 30, 1977 and enjoyed 43 years of marriage.
Memori worked as a dispatcher in Browning before obtaining her GED in 1979. During their marriage, Memori and Ron were amazing foster parents and provided a home for many children. In 1985 they adopted their son, Tyler Jay Healy Walter. In 1987 she gave birth to their daughter, Feather Dawn Walter Ware.
Memori graduated from the University of Montana in Missoula. She worked as a Home School Coordinator for the Cut Bank School District and obtained a teaching degree in Special Education from the University of Montana in Missoula. She proceeded to teach in Browning Schools for several years. She gained her master’s degree in Special Education in 2001.
Memori enjoyed family gatherings, arts and crafts, pinochle parties, baking, sewing, and traveling. She truly loved spending time with her two grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Walter of Kalispell, Mont.; children, Tyler Walter of Kalispell and Feather (Josh) Ware of Kalispell; grandchildren Ariel Ware and Matthew Ware of Kalispell; parents Deva (Glen) Trebas of Browning, Linda Salois of Cut Bank, Mont.; siblings Velvet Augare of Cut Bank, Lyle (Tammy) Salois of Dallas, Ore., Kenny Salois of Cut Bank, Jared (Courtney) Salois of Great Falls, Mont., Patrick (Tina) Salois of Great Falls, Lance (Teri) Salois of Cut Bank, Drew (Stephanie) Salois of Cut Bank and Kayla Zimbleman of Conrad; and several nieces and nephews along with many friends she made throughout the years.
Memori is preceded in death by her father Gary Salois, grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins who greet her with open arms in Heaven.
