The couple relocated around Montana for Sam’s job, finally making their home in Cut Bank and later divorced.
Sam went to work for Getter Trucking, and was transferred to Havre in 1972. The company sold, so Sam began working for Harris Trucking, moving on to Elenburg Exploration in 1980, from where he retired in 2001. When Sam moved to Havre, he met Harriet Sparks in 1972 and they later married in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
