Renae Louise (Kovatch) Bowers

Renae Louise (Kovatch) Bowers passed away unexpectedly of sudden cardiac arrest at her home in Valier at the young age of 39 on Monday, Oct. 24, 2022.

A celebration of her life was held at the Valier High School on Tuesday, Nov. 1.

Renae was born in Conrad on June 15, 1983, to her parents, Bob and Sue Kovatch. She was the baby sister to brothers, Robbie and Ryan. With her family, Renae moved to Valier, starting 1st grade and graduating from Valier High School with the class of 2001. After graduation, Renae moved to Kalispell where she worked as a childcare giver and later at Snappy’s Sports Center. While in Kalispell Renae met her husband of 16 years, Jason Bowers. Renae and Jason started their family with Aubrey in Kalispell but eventually moved back to Valier where their family lives now. Upon moving back to Valier, Renae worked alongside her parents at the Lighthouse Restaurant for many years where both Ashlee and Adi were added to their family. Most recently, Renae took over management responsibilities of Curry’s Market.

Through the years Renae was a dedicated and loving mother to not only her own three beautiful daughters, Aubrey, Ashlee, and Adi, but was also trusted and depended on by many other children of Valier. Most notably, Renae was lovingly addressed as mom by her much welcomed “additional” daughters, Loni, Kinley, Hylee and Grace.

Renae’s pride and joy were her three girls. She was a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend to all. Renae was very involved within her community and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Renae is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert Hovde and Robert Kovatch Sr. and father-in-law, Joe Bowers.

Renae is survived by her husband, Jason; their daughters, Aubrey 17, Ashlee 15 and Adi 5; parents, Bob and Sue Kovatch of Valier; brothers, Robbie (Julie) Kovatch of Astoria, Oregon and Ryan Kovatch and children, Lincoln and Charlotte of Altamont, New York; her grandmothers, Charlotte Hovde of Conrad and Charlotte Kovatch of Valier; as well as extended family, many coworkers, friends and fellow “team” parents who loved her deeply and had their lives brightened by her radiant smile.
