Wanda Jean (Humrich) Shanks, age 56, died on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, from a long battle with cancer at the Glacier Care Center in Cut Bank.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 22 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church for both Wanda and Curtis. Since this is a Celebration of life, please no black clothing, only something bright and cheerful.
Wanda was born on Nov. 14, 1962 in San Mateo, Calif., to Max and Anna (Jacobs) Humrich. She met the love of her life Curtis Shanks, and married him on July 11, 1979 in Cut Bank. Curtis and Wanda moved back to Montana from California in July of 1991.
Wanda loved Curtis, her children and grandchildren all of whom she would do anything for. She loved to ride horses, go fishing, camping and sew during her free time. She loved all sorts of animals, to include her cats, dogs, horses and chickens.
Survivors include her mother, Anna; and father Max; daughters Michele (Brian) Russell of Shelby, Marie (Travis) Marsland of Minot, N.D. and Stephanie (Drew) Salois of Cut Bank; grandchildren Trinity, Cody, Josh, Leah, Kathreen and Elezebeth; siblings: Darryl Humrich, Judy Daly and Joy Larsen, all of California.
Wanda is preceded in death by her husband Curtis Shanks.
