Aloysius James Fish Sr. “Wishy,” 62, passed away at Benefis Hospital in Great Falls on Sunday, Oct. 27. Rosary was held Nov. 3 with Mass being celebrated on Monday, Nov. 4 at Little Flower Catholic Church. Burial followed in the Willow Creek Cemetery.
Wishy was born in Browning on Oct. 2, 1957 to Louis Fish Sr. and Emma Ground Fish. He was raised on Moccasin Flat and educated in Browning. Wishy worked as a Wildland Firefighter, custodian and laborer.
On June 8, 1996, he married Verna Trombley, together they had four children. He also had two sons from a previous marriage.
He loved fishing, hunting, ceremonial gatherings and being with his family and friends.
Preceding Wishy in death are his daughter Angelia Fish, father Louis Fish Sr., mother Emma Bertha Ground Fish, brothers Louis Fish and Robert Ahenakew, sisters Sally (Bessie) Fish and Geraldine Cherry Fish.
Surviving Al are his children Les Fish, Amber/Henry, Ashley Fish, Al Jr./Deanai, Justin/Leah Martin; Shamus Martin, grandchildren Kaydence Gallineaux, Kateri Gallineaux, Charlie Gallineaux and Shannon Standing Chief; adopted children Brandon Fish, Lola Star Fish, Nobel OldPerson, Eric and John Butterfly, Keesha Horn, Joe Little Plume, Menaltke Fish; sisters Lyena Fish and Gloria Fish; brothers Wilbert Fish, Larry Louise Fish and David Fish; adopted brothers and sisters Donald Fish, Bruce Fish, Evan Howe, Marvin Farmer, John Bird, Michael (petals), Juergon (Yo) Siegel, Mori King, Peggy Ness and all his numerous nieces and nephews.
