The BHS golf team played their final tournaments of the regular season last week, beginning with a meet in Polson on Thursday 19, and winding up at Hamilton on Saturday, Sept. 21.

“They’re playing pretty consistent golf,” Coach Brian Harrell said, “and we have several players who have a great shot a making it [to state]. Jill Sure Chief is playing the best she has all year, but all the girls can  make it with a good day. And with the boys, anything can happen. Benny Kittson has the best shot, but with a good day anyone can make it.”

Although the Western A tourney was scheduled to be held this Saturday, Sept. 28, in Frenchtown, Coach Harrell says it’s been moved up to Thursday, Sept. 26, on account of expected snow on Saturday. The action starts there at 10 a.m. The top 30 individuals in the boys and girls divisions will advance to state in Laurel on Oct. 3-4, as well as the top four teams.
