The Browning Big Red football team scored first in their game against Polson on the road last Friday, Sept. 13, when Jessie Carlson threw a 22-yard pass to his brother, Cody Carlson, marking six points on the board. But the Pirates came back with a score of their own in the first half, followed by a two-point conversion. The second half saw many Browning first downs but no TDs while Polson scored twice more to win by 15 points.

“We were in the red zone multiple times but could not finish,” Coach Ansel Traynor said.

This week the Big Red Machine is back at home to host Whitefish at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 20, at Arrowhead Stadium. “We are returning home for a tough game against Whitefish,” Coach Traynor said. “They are on a two-game winning streak beating some very tough opponents. They have a solid core of players that do their jobs very well. They are a very disciplined team, and the game will come down to which defense makes more plays and creates the most turnovers.”
