Last week’s volleyball matches began with a Tuesday, Sept. 3, contest against Columbia Falls at the Tipi Dome in Browning. While scores and stats were not available at press time, the Lady Indians lost in three games.

Next, they played at Cut Bank and wound up winning three of five sets, taking set two, 25-22, set four, 25-16 and set five, 15-8. Cut Bank took set one, 25-19, and set three, 25-19. Stats were not available at press time.

Finally, the Lady Indians went to Havre where they won one of four sets, that being set two at 26-24. The remaining sets went to the Ponies, 25-18, 25-21 and 25-19.

Hailey Bullshoe led in assists with 13; Gianna Vickers led in kills with eight, followed by Dulci Skunkcap and Abby Bullcalf with four apiece. Bullcalf and Skunkcap also led in blocks with five and four, respectively while Payton Crossguns dug out 19 and Skunkcap dug up nine. Finally, Tricia Crowspreadshiswings led with four aces.

The coaches were unavailable for comment at press time.

This week, the Lady Indians are hosting Polson on Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Tipi Dome where the freshmen start at 4:15 p.m. Then on Saturday, Sept. 14, they’re off to Ronan for games that start with the freshmen at 1 p.m.
