The Browning wrestlers hosted Libby to a dual competition on Thursday, Jan. 9, beating the Loggers in team scoring, 42-30. Individual results from the match were not available at press time.
Moving on, the Browning grapplers entered the two-day Cut Bank Invitational and finished eighth as a team, among 29 teams competing. Browning qualified 11 athletes out of 14 to the second round of contests on Saturday. Chris Hall set the top mark for Browning, claiming third at 103 pounds. Other winning wrestlers included Ashton Flamand in fifth place at 120, Quentin Campos in fourth at 132, Aaron Wells taking sixth place at 145, Charlie Bullcalf in third at 182 and Chucky Braverock taking fourth at 295.
This week, the Browning wrestlers first travel to Polson for a dual meet on Thursday, Jan. 16, that starts at 5 p.m., followed by the John Fisher Tournament in Missoula Big Sky on Saturday, Jan. 18, starting at 8 a.m.
