With around 1,000 votes being cast entirely by mail, Kristy Bullshoe and James Evans were re-elected to the Browning Schools Board of Trustees.

According to the unofficial results, Bullshoe was the top vote getter with 391 votes, followed by James Evans with 374. Also elected was Misty Rides At The Door, who defeated incumbent Jess Edwards to claim the remaining seat. She received 373 votes to Edwards’ 290.

Other candidates receiving votes were: James Running Fisher, 335; Kelly Edwards, 207; Wayne Hall, 173; Smiley Kittson, 156; and Bear Gallineaux, 131 votes.

The votes will be canvassed and the trustees sworn in at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, in the Browning Administration Board Room. The School Board will then reorganize with the election of chair and vice chair.
