October was a busy month for Ms. Ruth Shea’s Pre-Kindergarten class with all sorts of Halloween related activities. They extended special thanks to Albertsons for all the pumpkins! This month has been just as busy but the students took time out to share their tips for making the perfect Thanksgiving dinner with our readers.

Thanksgiving is almost upon us and some folks may be wondering just how to manage the traditional dinner everyone expects. Maybe it’s their first time or perhaps they just want to equal their elders’ menus from Thanksgivings past, but in any case Ms. Ruth Shea’s Pre-Kindergartners have all the answers. From obtaining the bird to cooking it and, most importantly, cleaning up afterward, these kids really know their “stuff.”

Brooklyn McConnell: I would get a turkey from the fridge. My mom got the turkey at the Dollar Store. It cost a thousand dollars. I will cook it on our stove for 1 hour. We will eat toast, some ice cream and some pop with it. My mom will help me eat it. My mom will clean up.

Blake Sinclair: I will get a turkey from the cupboard. I will cook it in the oven. I will cook it for 5 minutes. When the clock rings, it is done. I will eat a sandwich, chips, and a cupcake with the turkey. My daddy, my mommy and my sissy will help me eat it. I will clean up the mess.

Malik Fish: I will get a turkey from the turkey man. It will cost 5 monies. My mom will help me eat it. My dad will clean up.

Cashlyn Marceau: I will get a turkey from the farm. There are always turkeys at the farms. It will cost $1. When I get home, I will cook it in the oven. I will cook it for 7 hours. The turkey is done when you fall asleep and then when you wake up. I will eat sauce with the turkey, and salt and pepper and hot sauce—spicey. My big sister, my grandma Candance, my uncle JJ, my grandpa Ron, my grandma Shorty and my grandma Luigi will help me eat the turkey. They like macaroni and salt, and macaroni and cheese. I will clean up.

Tatum DeRoche: I will get a turkey from my mom’s house. My mom will get it from Missoula. It will cost $5. You put eyes on it and it turns into meat. You put legs on it and arms on his belly. You color his eyes and then you cook it a “whole much.” It cooks for 1 minute and it gets hot and then you eat it. I will drink a juice bag with it. We will eat carrots and some milk with it. My mom, my dad and Taci, Maci and Paycen and Malik will help me eat it. I will clean up.

Dash Running Crane: I will get a turkey from the desert. I will catch it with a net. Then I will bake it in the oven for 100 times. It will be finished at 12. I will eat it with salt on it. I will eat it with some orange juice, honey cereal and some meat. I will have to buy some chocolate milk to have with it. My mom, my dad, my grandpa, my grandma and my cousins will help me eat it. I got a lot of cousins. Everyone will help clean up.

Penelope Grant: My mom would get a turkey right by her work. My mom will buy it at Town Pump. I don’t know how much it will cost. We have a stove. We could put it in the stove. I will cook it for forty minutes. We will eat it with vegetables and soup. Not pickles-they are yucky on vegetables. I will have eggs too. Me and daddy are gonna cook. Mommy will clean up.

Reid Ingraham: I would get a turkey from the farm. There’s a blue one and a red one. I would get the blue one. It would cost one dollar. You would cook it with a kitchen for 10 minutes. We would use spoons and a bowl. I would eat noodles, vegetables and juice. My mom will clean up.

Tuck Johnson: I would get a turkey from Ronan and Wal Mart. It will cost 100 pennies. I would boil my turkey. I would just eat it. I would eat ham, sausage, cottage cheese, stuffing and hamburgers. My sister, mom and dad will help me eat it. I will do the dishes and clean up.

Troy New Breast: I would get a turkey from a store in the groceries. It’s the candy store where mom and kids can come in. I would cook it in the oven for 16. It is ready to eat when it is “done done.” I would eat smashed potatoes, chicken nuggets, corn, cheese, jello and popcorn. I will eat dinner at school.

I will eat with Tuck and Penelope.

Sage Guardipee: I would get a turkey from the kitchen. Somebody chased and grabbed and killed it.  They hunted it with a knife. Put it in the freezer and then cook it. Cook it until it gets little. You cook it for 7 hours. I will eat chips and water with it. My sister, Uncle Tyrell, grandma, Hunter and Juju will help me eat it. Carson and Nena will also eat it with me. I will clean up. I like cleaning.

Hailey Dusty Bull: I would get a turkey from IGA. I think it will cost 10 bucks. I would cook it in the microwave. I would cook it for a few minutes. I will eat it with a spoon. I will eat it with chicken and macaroni, hot dogs and macaroni, and pepperoni. Mom, Jocelyn, Grandma, Kollin and Colt will eat with me. I will clean up.
