The Cut Bank Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to combine it with the annual Prime Rib Cook-off Contest to create the 1st Annual Beef and Bid. The Beef and Bid fundraiser will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Pioneer Bar.

The Pioneer Bar will be closed for regular business that day from 4-10 p.m. and the entire Pioneer Bar and TnT Casino has been reserved for the event. Only ticket holders will be allowed to enter the bar and casino.

The doors will open at 5 p.m. for a happy hour and at 6 p.m. the prime rib dinner will be served. Dinner will include sampling of a variety of prime rib cook-off entries, a loaded baked potato bar, a fresh spring mix salad, Hutterite dinner rolls and a cheesecake bar.

The Beef and Bid event is limited to only 170 tickets, so be sure to get your tickets soon. Tickets are $35 per person and come with a complimentary $5 “Santa Cash” casino credit to be used at the TnT casino during the event.

Tickets are available at Billman’s True Value, from any Chamber Director or by calling 873-4041. The band Wheelhouse will be entertaining the crowds with a variety of musical influences including pop, rock blues and folk throughout the night.

At the event, there will be several different businesses and individuals competing to prove that their Prime Rib recipe is the best. You may be wondering who will determine whose Prime Rib is best? The Prime Rib judging will be done two different ways.

The Judges Choice Award will be decided by the five carefully selected judges. We will also have a People’s Choice Award that will be voted on and decided by each person at the event. Both the Judges and People’s Choice winners will have bragging rights, a trophy and a winners’ basket provided by the Chamber.

Another exciting part of the evening is viewing and bidding on the beautifully decorated trees and wreaths. Every year, attendees are impressed by the huge variety of themed four-foot Christmas trees and wreaths that businesses and individuals decorate and donate to the silent auction.

These amazing silent auction donors use their creative talents to help raise funds for the event and support the Cut Bank Chamber’s mission. Trees are typically decorated with items that can be used as Christmas gifts such as toys, books, wine, kitchen gadgets or just about anything else you can imagine.

Each year the Cut Bank Chamber has between 15-25 themed Christmas trees and wreaths in the silent auction.

The Cut Bank Area Chamber of Commerce is very grateful to the following event sponsors who generously donated to the Festival of Trees:

Gold Event Sponsor:Glacier Electric Cooperative.

Silver Event Sponsors: Billman’s True Value, Canvas Church, Cut Bank Pioneer Press, Edward Jones, Glacier Community Health Center, Glacier Liquor Sales, Leavitt Great West Insurance and Stockman Bank.

Bronze Event Sponsors: Albertsons, Billman’s Home Décor, CHS Inc., dtj insurance & real estate, First Interstate Bank, Glacier Care Center, Hegles Sales and Service and Ideal Option.

Come celebrate the holiday season with your friends at the 1st Annual Beef and Bid and help the Chamber continue to work on several community improvement projects they spearhead and support.
