The Shelby High School Gymnasium will be hosting the Northern “B” Girls Divisional Basketball Tournament this weekend. The Lady Coyotes finished second at the District 1-B tourney in Cut Bank two weeks ago and will open with Glasgow, the third seed from the 2-B, on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. 

The top seed from the 2-B and State Tournament team from a season ago, Harlem, will open the tournament against Choteau who finished fourth in the 1-B on Thursday at 1 p.m. followed by the Shelby/Glasgow matchup. 

Fairfield, who topped the 1-B, will open the Thursday night session against Wolf Point at 6:30 p.m. Wolf Point finished fourth in the 2-B. The Malta M’Ettes, who finished second in the 2-B will take on 1-B third seed Rocky Boy at 8 p.m. to cap off the opening day. 

Friday will follow the same schedule with loser out games in the afternoon session and semifinal games in the evening. Saturday’s action gets underway at 9:30 with loser out contests while the evening session begins at 6:30 p.m. with the consolation final followed by the championship at 8 p.m. 

Three teams will advance to represent the North at the Class “B” State Tournament in Butte on March 12-14.
