Valier High School head volleyball coach Rhanda EagleSpeaker announced the contingency of northcentral Montana volleyball players who planned to go to Oahu, Hawaii to hone and test their skills is still on–for July 2021. The event was postponed due to COVID-19.

EagleSpeaker was invited by NoKaOi Volleyball to coach a team at the event last fall. NoKaOi Volleyball is an organization whose sole purpose is to offer high school athletes and college coaches the opportunity to travel to some of the world’s most exciting destinations while at the same time participating in the game they love.

Those planning to attend are: Kylie Christiaens and Kiera Lackner, Valier; Chalissa Kipp, Browning; Sienna Spotted Bear, Cut Bank; Taquoya Racine, Heart Butte; Seanna Demontiney and Lainey Gregory, Big Sandy; and Olivia King, North Star.

Each girl raised approximately $3,000 to attend. The event has been rescheduled for July 13-19, 2021.

“All our girls on the team will be able to attend, even the graduated seniors.

“NoKaOi has sent us all our goodies for the trip, including book bag, uniforms and tournament passes. The only thing not included were our plane tickets,” said EagleSpeaker.
