The Browning matmen began last week by hosting Cut Bank on Thursday, Feb. 11, and while no team scores were kept, Coach Casey McDonald said, “We wrestled well against one of the toughest class B schools in Montana.”
On Friday, they had duals with Whitefish and Bigfork; then on Saturday they were in Shelby.
“Saturday we went to Shelby and had a mixer with a few teams,” the coach said. “We were back on track and wrestling to our peak abilities. We all wrestled well! Some notable performances came from Brendyn Whiteman at 205 who beat Conrad’s massive wrestler at that weight class a second time, and Quentin Campos at 132 beat one of the top ranked kids from Fairfield.”
This week, the Browning wrestlers are scheduled to go to East Helena for a meet that includes Libby on Friday, Feb. 19.
