Clint and Malia Christians, parents of Baby Embrie who has been in Children’s Hospital in Denver for the past several weeks, shared this update as the newspaper was going to print on Monday.

“We are so overjoyed to be able to say we have made it home to Kalispell! Miss Embrie has a few appointments with her primary care provider and the pediatric cardiologist here later this week. She will likely have several follow up appointments throughout her first year of life, then they will hopefully taper off to only a few appointments per year. We are all so happy to be home! Thank you all once again for the prayers and support. We couldn’t have made it this far without each of you.”

Clint is the son of Rod and Jackie Christiaens of Valier and Malia is the daughter of Shawna and Scott Curry of Valier. The gofundme account set up for Embrie’s medical expenses has reached nearly $22,000 as of press time. https://www.gofundme.com/f/1re2l7ehpc?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1

Embrie was born on April 22 with cardiac complications (Transposition of the Great Arteries) and was Life Flighted to Denver where she is receiving treatment. She underwent a surgery on April 23 to correct the condition.
