Lady Wolves wrestlers make podium at Lewistown

Haylee and Harley Fetters each finished fourth in their respective weight classes to lead the Cut Bank girls wrestlers to a 14th-place finish at the Fergus Girls Invite on Saturday at Lewistown.

The event was loaded with class A and AA schools. The Lady Wolves finished two points behind Browning in the team standings.

Five Cut Bank wrestlers competed.

Ava Shook finished 1-2 for the day and contributed four points to the team standings.

Cut Bank is scheduled to compete at an all-girls mixer Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Shelby and another Thursday at Great Falls.

Wolves top Manhattan

The Cut Bank boys wrestling team blanked Manhattan 18-0 at the B/C duals in Townsend last weekend. The Wolves got wins from Kellan Cassidy at 132 pounds, Alex Wahl at 138 and Kanon Branch at 145.

All three of Cut Bank’s victories came by fall. No other results for the Cut Bank boys were available at press time.

The Wolves will compete at the Eureka Duals tournament on Saturday.
