It’s fun to golf at the MVGCC! If while reading that sentence got the tune “YMCA” in your head, then you have likely been listening to KSEN and hearing all about our annual fundraiser, the Toole County Health Foundation Golf Tournament, taking place on Saturday, Aug. 7. This fun annual event is a one-day only golf tournament with prizes, food, healthy competition, and of course, golf! Played at Marias Valley Golf and Country Club, this scramble style tournament is perfect for golfers of all skill levels.
We have a raffle with a $250 grand prize, 50/50 drawing, and thanks to generous sponsors, also have incredible hole and door prizes. These prize opportunities are in addition to the Daily Buy In option we’ll have for the morning of the tournament ($200 a team) and the regular prizes for those who place in the tournament. Because of all of these, you are that much more likely to go home with prizes in hand!
Our generous event sponsors, Core Civic, UMIA with Constellation, Centron Services and Logan Health, have all contributed funds in order to make this a tournament to be remembered. Logan Health made sure that this year we will offer not only a meal following the tournament, but also a lunch you can grab during the tournament! These delicious and simple TLC lunches will be available in coolers on the back patio for golfers to grab as they pass the clubhouse. Drinks and snacks are always available for purchase at the clubhouse. Thanks to Mark’s Tire, players will be able to cool off with free drinks when they find the pink golf balls scattered throughout the course.
Looking to sponsor? It’s not too late! Mail your sponsorship to PO Box 915 in Shelby, made out to Toole County Health Foundation (TCHF), and your generosity will be recognized at the tournament. If you have not yet registered your team, be sure to call down to the golf course to do so at (406) 434-5940. It’s an easy $100 per person or $400 per team, which includes, for each player, green fees, cart, two meals and gifts.
Early registration is encouraged since there are only enough spots for 36 teams. We will be pairing the teams, so bring your friends and be paired together! In order to beat the heat, registration is at 7:30 a.m. and the tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a shotgun start. All of the proceeds raised from this tournament will support community healthcare needs. Sign up today!
