The Cut Bank boy’s cross country team cuts through the crowded opening seconds Friday afternoon during the Mike Reynolds Time Trials.

When the dust cleared from a massive men’s cross-country race of 129 runners at the Mike Reynolds Time Trials in Cut Bank, it was once again brothers James and Elijah Greene who came out tops for the Wolves, finishing 29th and 30th respectively overall.

Packed up behind them to round out Cut Bank’s scoring top seven were Robert Reagan in 39th, Hunter Kennedy in 41st, Max Gannon 51st, Jaydas Running Wolf 57th, and Peyton St. Goddard in 76th.

The Lady Wolves held their own in a field of 85 runners, with freshman Mylee Barry leading the way and Abby Baney just .01 seconds behind her.

Then came the remarkable pack of MacKenzie Johnson, Ava Manecke, Kellyn Dunaway, Grace Poulton, and Paige Poulton. All of these ladies stepped it up on their home course to take between one to three minutes off their previous best times. The time trials were held on the Cut Bank Golf and Country Club course.

Friday, Sept. 10, they will journey across the mountains to compete in the Flathead Invitational held at Rebecca Farms.
