Friday, Sept. 20, at Eagle Falls Golf Course in Great Falls, all classes of cross-country runners were anxious for a preview run of course where this year’s All Class State Meet will be held.  In the combined Class B and C race, the Cut Bank boys team placed second as a team within the team standings with 100 points behind Manhattan Christian. They   edged out third place Red Lodge, who finished with 106 points, in an impressive display of the “power of the pack.”

The Wolves packed it in tight with Kierrin Rooney leading the way in 13th, followed closely by Hunter Kennedy in 15th, Devin Shultz in 19th, Quinn Rides At The Door in 23rd, and Rhett Michael in 30th to complete the scoring of the top five runners.

Nathaniel Anderson and Henry Gannon supported this effort by displacing other teams with their strong finishes in 31st and 34th places, respectively.

The girls team placed fifth with some strong pack running as well. London Raemaeker led the pack in 12th, followed by Mariah Wahl in 20th, Dakota Manecke in 22nd, Grace Rooney in 29th and Shannia Schmidt close behind in 30th.

This weekend, the Wolves cross country teams tear geared up to compete in Missoula at the Mountain West Classic, which is one of the largest races in the northwest.
