The Sunburst Refiners varsity volleyball team lost their first match of the season to Belt, 25-17, 25-20, and 25-20. Sunburst, however, was competitive through the match.

Jeena Alborano led the team with three aces, five kills one assist, five blocks and 15 digs. Briana Robins had three aces and three assists. Megan Hout tallied one kill and two assists for the Lady Refiners. Laura Meyer had three kills and 21 digs. Tara Robins helped out with two blocks and 14 digs. 

Sunburst will host Cascade on Friday, with matches starting at 5 p.m. The Lady Refiners will travel to Valier on Saturday with action slated for 11 a.m.

The Sunburst Refiners football team fell victim to COVID-19 their first scheduled contest. The Refiners were scheduled to take on the Warriors of Heart Butte, but the game was cancelled. Coach Jason Hanson said, “We will travel to Valier on Friday to play the Panthers.....hopefully.” Kick-off is slated for 6 p.m.
